In response to the need for a significant number of Java developers for major system transformation projects, Cathay United Bank expanded the scale of its Java Talent Development Program in 2023, collaborating with its subsidiaries. Building on the excellent results of the first cohort, the program recruits job seekers with an interest in financial services and programming.
Cathay Seed Program(CSP)
CSP program collaborates with universities to bridge academia and industry, allowing students to gain early exposure to banking operations during their studies and deepen their understanding of banking roles. At the same time, CUB can identify outstanding talent in advance, assess interns' potential, and enhance their readiness and willingness to join CUB upon graduation through comprehensive practical training.
Cathay Internship Program(CIP)
To help students gain a deeper understanding of the financial industry, CUB focuses on professional training within banking departments, emphasizing practical experience to explore potential career paths. During the internship, participants engage in real internal projects, collaborate with other subsidiaries of the Group on activities, and interact with senior executives and experienced colleagues. Through these exchanges, interns not only expand their professional networks but also gain insights into the differences between academic knowledge and practical applications.
Cathay Excellence Award Program
The Cathay Life Insurance Charity Foundation, in collaboration with the Cathay United Bank Education Foundation and the Cathay Real Estate Education Foundation, launched the Cathay Excellence Scholarship Program. This initiative offers support to two groups of students:
1. For outstanding yet financially disadvantaged high school and vocational students, the program provides a scholarship of NT$60,000 per student to alleviate financial pressures and help them focus on their education.
2. For creative and forward-thinking student groups, the program encourages the development and implementation of innovative public welfare projects aimed at solving social issues, offering scholarships ranging from NT$100,000 to NT$200,000 per group.
